I bought my IPOD classic 80gb 3 years ago as a Christmas present to myself. It had me paying for it for 12months, 0% interest on my card...it was worth it, or so I thought..
Til recently, my IPOD was my source of energy...I use it whenever I am alone....like when Im commuting between home and work, when I travel...esp at the airports and hotels...It has topped my "cant-do-without" list of thingies....now, its making me cry everytime i see it..
It just went dead...first i saw the apple logo appearing everytime I switch it on...then it froze, then back to the apple logo...until it said it has ZERO memory, but my pictures are still there...no MUSIC ( I had 7K+), no MOVIES ( i had 22 new movies), no Music videos ( i had 100+ compilations)...then the dreaded RED X appeared....I got frantic, made my nights sleepless...i googled every site to just learn why my IPOD acted crazy...i got the same answers, bring it to IStore or ship it back to Apple...but my IPOD is already 3 years old, meaning its out of warranty already.
Out of obedience, I asked a friend to send it to IStore...got the same answer...my hard drive crashed, they are not authorized to open it...nor do i have a choice to send it to Apple, coz as I've known, its out of its warranty period...I came to conclusion that IPOD are not meant to last...I've read so many forums regarding their problems...from battery life to its wheel freezing and what not???
Now aside from feeling I bought a lemon, I feel so disheartened with how short a time it inspired me...I now just content myself playing music from my PC..but the satisfaction is never the same...I miss my IPOD, that is so true, but Im missing it with resentment...it left me paralyzed...my heart is beaten...my mind tired of listening to nothing...its taking 1/2 of my daily routine...
Since Im a big MUSIC fan, I tried googling for IPODs online, went as far as 2nd hand units....but Im hesitant now as much as Im so adamant getting another one...coz it might just BREAK my heart once again....
What say you???
