Lost Angels by Steve Perry

This is a Steve Perry song which was never released due to copyright issues. I have always loved Steve Perry since his Journey days, I grew up loving "Open Arms", "Faithfully" and etc....when he went solo, I loved his "Oh Sherrie" and "Foolish Heart", I never knew he had this song til I started researching the circumstances why he left Journey...The very new vocalist of Journey now is a Filipino in the person of Arnel Pineda...I am equally mesmerized by the voice of this guy, but the nostalgic memories that Steve Perry gives cant be measured and compared...here is the song:

Lost angels
All were children
With eyes full of dreams

They say they love you
They say they care for
But still they lie
Words are all you hear

The streets are lying
And promises are broken
All God's souls deserve a loving hand

Lost angels (nowhere to fall)
All were children
with eyes full of dreams they hide, oh

Invisible and lonely
The power doesn't wanna know
Oh, but still they try
To make it one more day, yeah

Lost angels (nowhere to fall)
All once were children
With eyes full of dreams they hide

You know, every time you feel your heart ache
You don't have to run away
And when the shadows hide in darkness
You know tears cry out for love
You must believe in your salvation
It's everywhere, you're not alone
And when your eyes have stopped believin'
You know tears cry out for love

Tears, tears, they cry
Tears, tears, they cry
Tears, tears, they cry
Tears, tears, they cry

Every time you feel your heart ache
You don't have to run away
And when the shadows hide in darkness
You know tears cry out for love
You must believe in your salvation (your salvation)
It's everywhere, you're not alone
And when your eyes have stopped believin' (you know)
You know tears cry out for love

And when your eyes have stopped believin' (you know)
You know tears cry out for love

Lost angels,
All were children
With eyes full of dreams

Just some thoughts...

In love,
when break up comes
& its time
to say goodbye
dont doubt the love
just because it ended
there are just things that dont last
but it doesnt mean that it wasnt real....
some good things are just never
meant to last forever
but thats ok
bless the parting and
move on....
expect the tears, sorrows,
sleepless nights & the pain..
as what we always say
its when you hurt the worst
that you love the most
if you are not willing to
get hurt, then dont dare to
love at all...
when you are out there looking out
for that perfect person..
keep these things in mind:
people change no matter
how hard they try not to
as you grow older, you mature
& with each new level of maturity
comes different ideas
different needs & wants...
the person who was perfect
for you at 20's
could be the person
you hate at 30's
you have to find someone
who will grow old with you
change for the better with you
laugh with you &
cry with you
remember that there is no such
perfect person in this world,
but there will always be
someone who will complete you....
always remember that one's trash
is another one's treasure
same thing with
one's misery is
another one's happiness
so if you feel that you have
been a trash of someone you love
remember that you are a treasure
to someone that is more deserving
than the one who left you.....

GodBless everyone!!!

I think IM LOST...

With the impending closure of my branch, I found myself worrying a lot. I have never-ending options that I ponder upon, yet all of those options seem not to suit best for my future...and of course with Zach to think about, I think Im getting no nearer it...

I want to cry a lot of times, but my eyes are so dry...I want to scream for help but my mouth seem to shut all the more. I feel helpless, I feel Im drowning in the pool of insecurities, yet I have to be strong for other people.

I just learned the bad condition of my niece, yet she showed no signs of worry and anxiety...and to think that her plight is worse than mine, so who am I to complain?

My friends are perplexed with my recent behavior, I dont call them, I dont communicate at all...they send me text messages, they send me emails, they send me comments on my FS, but I have replied to no one....I guess this is my defense mechanism, I am best at keeping my worries....but this is not really who I am...so Im LOST!

I dont really know now what I want, I dont even know what to do next..I have opened myself to a lot of possibilities, yet my heart is holding back...to something I cant have...I am LOST...really LOST...could you please show me the way?

The BIG Jams!

I have been a music lover all my life...from Beethoven to Paramore...I love 'em all...This week, I have been uploading adult alternatives to my IPOD...and it gives me the same chill moment like a ballad song would...so I’m giving here a tribute to 10 songs i really like in my Big Jams...
1. What About Now by Chris Daughtry - I have been a Daughtry fan since his IDOL days, a friend of mine loved his "HOME", while I go gaga over this one….
What about now?
What about today?
What if you're making me all that I was meant to be?
What if our love never went away?
What if it's lost behind words we could never find?
Baby, before it's too late,
What about now?...

What About Now has its good moments. It is hedging the line between alternative and hard rock music. It does what it needs to do, and very little more. That's why its number ONE on my list.

2. Afterglow by INXS - This is included in the post-Hutchence album - SWITCH.
Touch me and I will follow in your afterglow
Heal me from all this sorrow
As I let you go I will find my way when I see your eyes
Now I'm living in your afterglow

Though the focal point of this rock band is melodic rock, new wave and combined funk...it was really the soulful voice of Michael Hutchence which carried the group to stardom. The new lead vocals won from the ROCKSTAR competition and much to my surprise, this song has soft keys in it. It’s like a romantic song with a little twist of rock. INXS just proved us that they are still a top band to beat.

3. In the Sun by Michael Stipe - REM's frontman Michael Stipe belted this song with so much force with the help of Coldplay's Chris Martin.
I picture you in the sun wondering what went wrong
And falling down on your knees asking for sympathy
And being caught in between all you wish for and all you seen
And trying to find anything you can feel that you can believe in
May God's love be with you
Always

A great song with powerful voices of Stipe and Martin. I would say that Stipe even gave a better rendetion than its original singer Joseph Arthur. The song continues to revel more each time you listen to it. Im proud to have this song!

4. Never Gonna Be Alone by Nickelback - This song was given to me thru email by a "friend", maybe that’s the reason why I have included this in my list.
Time, is going by, so much faster than I,
And I'm starting to regret not spending all of here with you.
Now I'm, wondering why, I've kept this bottled inside,
So I'm starting to regret not selling all of it to you.
So if I haven't yet, I've gotta let you know...

I am more of a lyric than melody listener. I dont know why it was sent to me, but I guess between the lyrics lie his true feelings? Argghhh, am i dreaming again?

5. Everything You Want by Vertical Horizon - You may find this song explaining your feelings for someone with the things he says to you…
He's everything you want, he's everything you need,
He's everything inside of you that you wish you could be,
He says all the right things, at exactly the right time,
but he means nothing to you and you don't know why..."

These little words can describe everything about how he affects your life, and how his words mean a lot to you. I know that the first time I heard the words it really made me feel and think the words being said. It is a definitely a great song to listen to...either in the car, at home, or anywhere you please. Everyone should at least listen to it once to see how you feel about it.

6. Angels or Devils by Dishwalla - From "Smallville" to "Judyville", thats how far this song travelled.
I can see the pain in you
and I can see the love in you
but fighting all the demons will take time
it will take time

My friend Kirk loves this song too, and its already part of our BOOZE nights...the memories that go along with this song is forever embedded in our hearts…

7. Tonight by FM Static – This song is a power ballad in the vein of alternative genre.
Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you
I can just look up
and know the stars are
holdin' you, holdin' you, holdin' you tonight

I do remember you tonight. This is the song that will remind you of how sweet it is to have someone to hold at night. Thanks to my niece Mai2x who introduced this song to me.

8. Colorblind by Counting Crows – I love the rough feel of this song. This is just a repeating song, but a really good one.
I am ready
I am ready
I am ready
I am fine
I am covered in skin
No one gets to come in
Pull me out from inside
I am folded and unfolded and unfolding
I am colorblind

It’s a nice song to listen to when you are just about to go to bed, not to mention that Counting Crows is one of my favorite bands since the ‘80s…

9. When Im Gone by 3 Doors Down – Definitely a lovesong is hiding behind the lyrics.
So hold me when I'm here
Right me when I'm wrong
Hold me when I'm scared
And love me when I'm gone
Everything I am
And everything in me
Wants to be the one
You wanted me to be

A nice song to dedicate to someone whom you cant live without with, but not too cheesy to listen to. Three Doors Down have other great songs and its not surprising that they have topped the charts.

10. Always Be My Baby by David Cook – Oh Im sorry I had to include David Cook, I have listened to his Analog album, and the songs after this winning piece, but sad to say, Im still hooked to this one until now.
You'll always be a part of me
I'm a part of you indefinitely
Girl don't you know you can't escape me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby
And we'll linger on
Time can't erase a feeling this strong
No way you're never gonna shake me
Ooh darling cause you'll always be my baby

David Cook’s version of this song lets us forget Mariah Carey. David Cook, you will always be my baby!
